soccer应该是美国人对11人足球的说法。 不过美国的足球游戏，EA的不同命名soccer manager,football manager 不知道是不是特别对应美国+国际和英国市场的差别-_-
football 在英国人眼里是11人足球 。美国的话多数认为是指美式足球，即用橄榄球玩的运动
其实用橄榄球还是美式足球都可以的，主要还是多数人受到翻译漫画的影响比较深，顾虑这方面的话。 还有如果人物对白日语说美式足球，翻成橄榄球那才不对。 也许在中国橄榄球默认就是美式足球运动的，那样的话写橄榄球其实也不是说不正确。因为我是受英系运动比较深，所以觉得仔细区别可能有必要。毕竟英国的橄榄球和美国的运动规则有不同
