I'd guess that if you get into a good university (an ivy league or something like that), then you'd have a much better chance of getting a visa? Do you know of any counter-example?
In fact there are numerous counter-examples, but the example of successful application is almost unheard of. It's used to be relatively easy if you can get into a good u...but after 911 they have tightened the issuing of visas. Pre 911, the ratio of successful applicants is abt 10%, now it's less than 0.1%, even business travel becomes next to impossible...all thanks to dear mr. bin laden
i will try UK, it's easier. If not, i will just stay in Singapore, which is also very nice. Actually it doesn't matter much to me..so no need to feel sorry about that...for me, anywhere also can :)
