Might be me, but I think I'm a little less enthusiastic about the pilot episode of Macross Frontier than most people. Don't get me wrong though, I still like it very much.
也许是我(意指前面的发言),但是我觉得我对MF描写机师的部分比大部分要缺乏热情。不要理解错我的意思,我依然很喜欢这片子。
I have a few issues with it though. But it might be something which is Macross general.
我有一些关于这个的疑问,然则这也许是Macross整个系列的普遍现象。
- Why do we get cannon fodder Valkyries, and even cannon fodder SHIPS??? I always hate it when one fighter-sized object blows up an entire ship with one shot. Let the ships at least take some time to go down. In Frontier they almost blow up as easily as in Gundam Seed and Destiny (at least it takes an alien BFG to do it, where in Seed, the standard issue gun was enough).
为什么有哪些炮灰VF,甚至炮灰舰船。我一直很讨厌单机掀翻整条船且只用一炮。让那些船至少存货一些时间再沉没。在MF里,这些船总是轻易地被掀翻,就像在钢弹Seed和SD里一样容易(不过至少它让外星生物的BFG[DoomIII里的那兵器,能聚能的]给干掉了,同样在Seed里,一把普普通通的枪就足够了)
- Why are the fodder-Valkyries so damned beautiful? And why are they piloted by idiots? (I'm talking about the VF-171).
为什么那些炮灰VF TMD那么好看?同样,为什么它们被一群傻瓜操控?(我在说VF-171)
- Is it truly that hard to have weapon damage be consistent? One minute, we see a gunpod tearing an alien apart in a short burst. And at the end of the episode, we see an extremely long burst (probably until the magazine is empty) do no damage at all...
让武器伤害输出一致就真的那么地难吗?有那么一分钟我们看到机枪密密麻麻喷了一小段时间就轰碎了一个外星生物。但是在整片的最后,我们看到喷了一个很长时间(大概一直到弹夹空了)也没有对它产生任何伤害。
- Where more people thinking "Shell down!" after the ghost-squad was annihilated?
剧中在幽灵中队被全歼后,在哪儿很多人想起“炮弹掉下来了!”
And on a slightly more serious note:

- The action was too much in close up. I read somewhere that it reminded someone of the Transformers live action movie, and I'm along with that. Though it's a little better, I personally dislike erratic camera movements. It always seems a tool to hide the fact that CGI is being used. If you want to hide the CGI, then don't use it. In this case though, they proved they can do fine... breathtakingly fine, so why not zoom out a little? I want to enjoy the eyecandy without it being shoved in my face so much I can hardly make out what I'm looking at.

- Why is the first episode so much earlier than the rest of the series? Now I have to wait for the rest.
为什么第一话比之后的剧集早那么长时间,我现在不得不等余下来的。(啊哈,我们这边也轮了好几遍MF第一话了,可惜要到四月才能看余下的)
Things I DID like:
我喜欢这片子的地方:
- Mechanical design. Macross mechanics always hold such a nice semi-realistic design to them. The VF-171 is stunning, I possibly like it even more than the VF-25.
机械设计。麦克罗斯的机械观总是保持那么一种唯美的半现实主义的设计。VF-171让人晕倒,我可能喜欢它超过VF-25
- Character design. While not the best I've ever seen, it's certainly nice.
人物设计。虽然不是我见过最好的,但是无可置疑还是不错的。
- It's a Macross TV series!
这是麦克罗斯的TV剧集!(深表赞同,深表赞同)
- The feel. A bit hard to discribe, but, as with Gundam 00. Thus far, it 'feels' good to watch.
感觉。有点难以描述,但是和钢弹蛋蛋一样。迄今为止,感觉值得一看。
- The homages to other Macross installments.
向其他Macross系列致敬。(深表赞同,深表赞同)
- The CGI (at least where they kept enough distance to actually see it)... WOW ... That flyby of Macross ('Island 1'?) literally made me say that...
那段逐渐飞越Macross(主岛?)的CGI动画(至少他们在某个地方保持了足够的距离让我分辨了出来。)让我感叹道:“喔……”
- I picked up on some of the character names in the first episode. Which is a good thing.
我在第一话记下了许多角色的名字,这是一件好事。
- They made Ranko fill in a certain Macross-specific role without being annoying.
他们不让人讨厌地让兰卡充当了某个特定的麦克罗斯特色角色。
Don't misinterpret my comments though. I really like it, but there's a few things which are slightly bothering me. But of course, other than that, this is definitely a 'must watch' for me.
大家不要曲解我的评论。我真的喜欢这片子,但是始终有那么一些东西稍稍使我厌烦。不过当然,抛开这个不说,这是一部对我而言“必须看”的片子。

Subdued but memorable, with some sweet nuanced animation for the movements the pop-idol girl does when waking up. The overall visual composition is in the line of a more polished Aquarion and if they keep this up I may have to eat up my disbelief in the staff!
嗨!进入标题画面前的第一分钟太美了,偶像女孩醒过来时的那些可爱而稍有些不协调的动作画面缓和但却映像深刻(这段翻得不是很好,因为不太明白说的是啥)整个视觉组合感觉类似(意译了)更精美的创圣,如果他们能保持这点,我也许不得不整个吃掉我对于制作组的不信任感
