it is not KAGOME's willingness and responsibility to have the same "soul" with KIKYO. she rather be the different person from KIKYO. even they do have the same soul, but they are the two entirely different people and have completely different personality.
Inuyasha loves KAGOME because she is KAGOME but not a substitute for KIKYO.
