Middlebury College
Bowdoin College
Bates College
Bard College
Connecticut College
Mount Holyoke College (非常有名的女校，“七姐妹”之一哦)

如果哪位平时成绩不错，其它地方也突出但SAT就是考不好，这几所学校都是很好的选择。:)

FT, you are missing the whole point--they are good schools that don't require SAT scores. That's a rare combination.

And seriously, it's not like most schools situated are in big cities to begin with. It's not that terrible to be going to a school in a small town.

I am not interested in liberal arts colleges. SAT is not that hard, anyway.

Yes, they are liberal arts colleges....quite well-reputed ones (if not known by your average person on the street).

It's true that most of them are in remote places, though. For example, I remember Middlebury is in Vermont....but given the quality of the schools, the geographical factor isn't so bad. Besides, remote place --> quietness for studying! :D

That may be true some years ago, but these days the college admission game is HYPER competitive. For a good university/college, having applicants with good grades is so common, same with having 1400+ SAT scores. Given that, I think every advantage (or eliminating every disadvantage) really counts.
