Anyway, if this is as bad as it looks, I won't have Chinese input / be on MSN / be online much in general for a while.

Have you asked your bf to check it? maybe just some little problems, such as virus?
take it easy, computer is the most silly thing of the world.

He did check it. It's a hardware problem. If it's a desktop he can probably fix it himself, but given it's a laptop he can't. x_x

That's the thing. The stupid thing isn't old. I've only had it for 8 months. >_<

I'm kinda ambivalent. Desktops are cheaper and more sturdy, but after using a laptop I just find them so inconvinent......:(
